I will be flying out in a few days with two other teammates to join the rest of the team, but I received word from them today that they have all arrived safely and are enjoying a time of Orientation with the Ugandan staff and student partners. Our team is spending the next few days at a Scripture Union retreat site, building cross-cultural relationships and partnerships with their new friends before heading out to our ministry sites both in Kampala and Gulu. Please continue to pray for transitions, for the new budding friendships and for deep spiritual insight as they spend time in Bible Study to prepare together for the things of the Kingdom that they will be exposed to, growing in and part of ushering in during these coming weeks.

Sending Off the Team! And Arrival in Entebbe :)
Saturday was a filled day of saying good-bye and sending off our beloved friends to their NEGII project in Hispaniola at the wee-early hours of the morning, followed by a guest speaker from CVI (Child Voice International) to share with us some of the history and current work of CVI in Northern Uganda along with some preparation from our staff team for what to expect and how to engage with these global issues in Kampala as well. After lunch, our team shifted gears from mentally and emotionally preparing, to physically preparing for stepping onto the plane and embarking on our journey across the globe. Suitcases were filled with supplies to bring our partners, guitars restrung, living & meeting spaces cleaned and reset to order for our gracious hosts who had opened their home for us to fill for the past week, and cars and trucks loaded with luggage just after dinner. It was a great delight to more fully bond as a Uganda team, to focus on what was yet to come and pray together before sending them off to the airport. The team was filled with good spirits, lots of singing, laughter, and giddy eagerness to get on the plane and be in Uganda!
