For the past 3 days students from the Hispainola and the Uganda Global Issues Institute have been challenged by outstanding speakers, have prayed, spent time in group discussions and gotten to know each other.  They have shared small space with big hearts, kindness and grace and shown their flexibility and willingness to adapt.
Tonight we helped pack up the Hispainaola group who will leave at 4 am in the morning.  Then, the remaining 24 of us will meet with a worker from Child Voice to hear her story and lessons, finish the rest of our training and packing and will leave just after dinner for the airport to begin our journey through Dubai to Entebbe Airport in Uganda.  Everyone is pretty eager to get underway!

We have also enjoyed playing and eating together and learning to appreciate the gifts and interests of each other.

New England Global Issues Institute - 2014
In a week, on the 28th, we will gather in Boston for our 3 day Institute then, on the 31st we depart for Uganda.
Students and staff have spend the semester completing readings, participating in training and small groups and have been raising the funds for this partnership with Global Link Africa and Child Voice International.

We will try to post during the Institute and as often as we are able while in Uganda.  Internet is limited and electricity is not always available so we will not be able to keep up with personal e-mail - or even phone contact so this is where to come to get a look at what we are doing.  Visit often and we will do our best.
